Terms of Use

Last updated: July 5, 2026

The short version: DegreePath is a free planning companion โ€” not an official degree audit. Always verify requirements with your institution's official catalog and academic advisor before registering for courses or applying to graduate.

1. What DegreePath is

DegreePath is a free, browser-based tool that helps students visualize degree requirements, track courses, and estimate graduation timelines. It is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any university.

2. Not academic advice

Degree requirements change, vary by catalog year, and include institution-specific rules DegreePath may not capture. All analyses, milestones, and graduation estimates are informational only. Your institution's official records, catalog, and advisors are the sole authority on what you need to graduate.

3. No warranty

DegreePath is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do our best to keep requirement maps current, but we cannot guarantee they are error-free.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DegreePath and its creator are not liable for any damages arising from use of this site โ€” including missed requirements, delayed graduation, or additional tuition costs โ€” resulting from reliance on information provided here.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use it in violation of applicable law.

6. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
